How it all began…

The original 160 acre farm was owned by Earl and Amber Heyn and sold to Herman “Sonny” and Mildred Klemz in 1943. They built the cape cod style home on the property in 1948 and the barn now known as Poplar Creek in 1961. The land was split and the farm and 7 acres was sold to Jerry and Judy Jorgenson in 1988 who later sold it to their daughter and son in law, Rod and Stephanie Beck. The Beck Farm was home to many amazing parties and weddings including their daughter in 2016. They sold to Dan and Ericka Pierson in 2018 who renamed it Poplar Creek.

About us…

We are so excited your wedding venue search has brought you to us. Having years of experience in the wedding industry when we owned Rustic Bride Wedding Rentals, it’s been a dream come true to now own a wedding venue. The last two years have been dedicated to renovating the inside of the barn to ensure you get a beautiful rustic venue along with modern state approved amenities. We look forward to the next phase of construction to update the outside of the barn and some extra gathering spaces in the lower barn and silo.

We were married in 2013 and now have two beautiful daughters, Truly and Amora. We love the outdoors, working on projects together, and spending time with our family and friends.

When you book your wedding at Poplar Creek you become a part of the barn and its history. Your initials and date will be burned into the walls and you become apart of the family. We look forward to meeting you soon and helping you plan your dream wedding.
